USA Cares & Bassmaster Elite Angler Bradley Roy to Host 4th Stars & Stripes Bass Open Supporting Veterans and Military Families
Lake Cumberland, KY – August 16, 2017 – Calling all anglers! This June, USA Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting military families in crisis, and Bassmaster Elite Angler Bradley Roy will join forces to present the 4th Stars & Stripes Bass Open at Lake Cumberland, Kentucky.
“We set up two tournaments again this year to raise some money for USA Cares, because the fishing industry has been huge for military members. Fishermen have big hearts, a soft spot for helping veterans,” said tournament co-host Bradley Roy. “We thought what better way to help than to put on a great tournament for some fishermen and raise some money for USA Cares at the same time.”
The second of the 2017 Stars & Stripes Bass Open tournaments will kick off at Lake Cumberland on Saturday, October 7th at 7:00 AM and run until 3:00 PM at the Burnside State Park Ramp.
A $3,000 grand prize is guaranteed to first place; additional places will be determined for every 10 boats registered. All tournament proceeds will benefit USA Cares and their veteran and military family assistance programs. Early registration costs $100, increasing to $110 during the week of the tournament. All participants are encouraged to pre-register online at https://bit.ly/2vzFrS4.
